RVNL crosses 1000 RKM Railway Electrification in current year
In the current year 2020-21, RVNL is set to breach the ambitious benchmark of commissioning 2000 RKM thus doubling its delivery in two years from a large base.
New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited ventured into Railway Electrification with a modest beginning by commissioning 63 RKM of RE in 2012-13. There after it ramped its capacity leaps and bounds and commissioned 1150 RKM in 2018.
In the current year 2020-21, RVNL is set to breach the ambitious benchmark of commissioning 2000 RKM thus doubling its delivery in two years from a large base. It crossed the intermediate milestone of 1000 Route km on 22/1/21.
RVNL is utilising state-of-art Automatic Wiring Train and Utility Rail Vehicles (UTVs) for expeditious execution of RE work. RVNL has also devised various methodologies like turnkey contracts, packaging of bigger works into multiple packages, and permitting infrastructure contractors of the power sector in the field of Railway Electrification, apart from many other initiatives.
