The HPCL LPG Bottling Plant in Matia, Goalpara district, was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by Rameswar Teli, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Labor & Employment, Government of India.

NEW DELHI- The HPCL LPG Bottling Plant in Matia, Goalpara district, was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by Rameswar Teli, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Labor & Employment, Government of India.
The plant, with a capacity of 30 TMTPA and located in the Industrial Development Centre on 30 acres of land, was dedicated to the nation at an approximate cost of Rs. 70 crores.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the plant will cater to the LPG needs of nearly 8 lakh consumers through 75 HPCL LPG distributors in the states of Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya.

He highlighted that the plant will not only boost the local economy but also improve the quality of life for the residents.
He further mentioned that the uninterrupted supply of LPG in the region will contribute to the ongoing celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav across the country.
Pushp Kumar Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director of HPCL, welcomed the dignitaries and provided information about the capabilities and features of the HPCL LPG Bottling Plant at Matia in his address.
Anuj Kumar Jain, Executive Director In-charge - LPG, expressed his gratitude to Rameswar Teli and other dignitaries for their presence at the event.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has appreciated the dedication of HPCL’s LPG Bottling Plant to the nation at Goalpara, Assam and said that this will greatly help consumers in Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya.
In response to a tweet thread by the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, the Prime Minister said;
"This will greatly help consumers in Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya."
