RailTel celebrates its 24th Foundation Day
New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited, a Mini Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, commemorated its 24th Foundation Day at the Airforce Auditorium, Subroto Park, New Delhi. The grand event was honored by the esteemed presence of Smt. JayaVarmaSinha, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, along with distinguished guests including Sh. Shobhan Chaudhary, General Manager/Northern Railways, Sh. Arun Saxena, Advisor to Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Sh. Sanjai Kumar CMD, Sh. V. RamaManohara Rao, Director Finance, Sh. Manoj Tandon, Director POM, Sh. Yashpal Singh Tomar, Director NPM, Dr. Chandramani Sharma, CVO, and other senior officials from Airtel, Railways, different Ministries, as well as former RailTel CMDs and Directors.
During her address to the RailTel family on this significant occasion, Smt. JayaVarmaSinha, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, expressed her contentment at witnessing RailTel's progress, envisioning its journey towards achieving Navratna status. She invoked the inspirational words of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, that Indian Railways will become the growth engine of the Nation’s Vikas yatra. She said that RailTel, as an extension of Indian Railways in the telecom sector, would be an integral part of this transformative journey.

She extended her congratulations to the RailTel team for completing 23 illustrious years and wished them continued success for a brighter future. Sh. Sanjai Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), proudly announced that RailTel had exceeded the Rs. 2000 crore mark in the previous fiscal year, with a growth rate of 27%.
He expressed his pride in leading such a dedicated and hard-working team, reflecting on his own journey starting as an executive 21 years ago. He outlinedRailTel's plans for undertaking the modernization of railway signaling and mentioned that preparations for this endeavour were already underway.

The evening unfolded with an award ceremony, a captivating Odishi dance performance by Adruta (an NGO based in Odisha) as well as riveting dance, music, and qawwali performances by RailTel employees and their families members, culminating in truly memorable evening
