New Delhi: PowerGrid Corporation of India, Schedule 'A', 'Maharatna' Public Sector Enterprise of Govt. of India has been awarded in the Power Transmission (Central PSUs) category at the PSU and Government Summit 2022 organised by Dun & Bradstreet.
The award was received by Sh. Satish Chandra, Executive Director (Corp. Comm., Law & Rajbhasha).
The Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
The company's transmission network consists of roughly 168,140 circuit kilometers and 252 EHVAC and HVDC substations, with total transformation capacity of 422,430 MVA as on 31 January 2021, and an availability of over 99%.
