New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on December 11 will inaugurates the Phase - I of Samruddhi Mahamarg. 

The Samruddhi Mahamarg or Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway is an under-construction 6-lane wide (expandable to 8), 701-km long access-controlled expressway in Maharashtra, India. It will be amongst the country's longest greenfield road projects, which will connect the two capital cities of the state, its capital, Mumbai, and its third-largest and vice-capital city, Nagpur.

The project is being led by the state infrastructure arm Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and is designed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model.

?? Phase - I will cover a distance of 520 Km, connecting Nagpur and Shirdi.

?? It will pass through Maharashtra’s 10 districts and prominent urban regions of Amravati, Aurangabad & Nashik.

?? The expressway will also help improve the connectivity of adjoining 14 other districts, thus helping in the development of about 24 districts of the state including the regions of Vidarbha, Marathwada, and North Maharashtra.

?? The 'Samruddhi Mahamarg' will connect to the Delhi Mumbai Expressway, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, and tourist locations like Ajanta Ellora Caves, Shirdi, Verul, Lonar, etc.
