PM Modi Inaugurates MCL's 4 projects worth Rs 2,145 cr
Odisha: Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated 04 projects worth Rs 2,145 crore of Coal India subsidiary Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) in a function at Sambalpur, Odisha. These projects include Bhubaneswari phase-I coal handling plant (CHP) silo, Lajkura CHP - rapid loading system, Doubling of Jharsuguda-Barpali-Sardega rail line, and Ib-Valley washery.
The CHP and rail line projects will facilitate eco-friendly and swift transportation of coal, while the washery will contribute to enhancing the quality of coal. The washery, with a 10 million tonne per annum (MTPA) coal-washing capacity, is also the largest washery of Coal India.
