Parliamentary Committee visits CPCL's Manali Refinery
New Delhi: The Parliamentary Committee on Sub-ordinate Legislation, Rajya Sabha under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Member of Parliament Mr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, visited CPCL's Manali Refinery on September 13 to review the Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP) in CPCL.
Hon'ble Members of Parliament Mr. Tiruchi Siva and Mrs. Vandana Chavan, were the other members of the Committee.
The Committee was received by Mr.Arvind Kumar, Managing Director at CPCL's Manali Refinery in the presence of Mr.Rajeev Ailawadi. Director (Finance), Mr.S.Krishnan, Director (Operations), Mr.H.Shankar, Director (Technical) and senior officials of CPCL. The Committee Members were given a presentation on the implementation of Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP) in CPCL.
Thereafter the Committee visited CPCL's Refinery -III control room and also witnessed the demonstration of remote controlled High Volume Long Range (HVLR) Monitors and Fire Tender at OHCU site as part of Emergency preparedness. The Committee appreciated the commendable readiness of Fire Tenders, efforts and new initiatives taken by CPCL in the areas of safety and sustained efforts in Refining operations.
