ONGC awards IT services contract to Infotech for seven years
State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has given a seven-year contract to technology solutions provider Corporate Infotech Pvt Ltd (CIPL) for an IT infrastructure makeover. “ONGC awards Corporate Infotech a Rs 98 crore contract for on-premise IT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) on a ‘Pay-per-Use’ model.
The contract will be executed for seven years by September 2031,” CIPL said in a statement. According to the Noida-based company, the project’s goal is to improve ONGC’s IT hardware infrastructure throughout its Corporate Infocom Data Centre (CIDC) in Delhi and the disaster recovery facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
By guaranteeing smooth data replication, disaster recovery, and application management services, the initiative would contribute to future-proofing the state-owned company’s operations as part of ONGC’s digital transformation path, the statement stated.
