NTPC with National Mission (Samarth) to organize workshop on Biomass utilization
New Delhi: National Mission on Biomass Utilization in Thermal Power Plants (SAMARTH) collaborated with NTPC to organize a one-day workshop on Ex-situ Utilization of Agricultural Residue for Co-firing in Thermal Power Plants (TPPs) in Chandigarh on July 14, 2022.
The Government, Ministries, Gencos, Financial Institutions, Manufacturers, Entrepreneurs, Industry Associations, OEMs and Farmer Organizations will participate in the workshop.
The objective of the workshop is to promote and facilitate ex-situ use of agro-residues in various applications with a focus on developing an eco-system for biomass collection, transportation, manufacturing, supply and co-firing in thermal power plants.
The workshop will not only address the issue of stubble burning but will also provide an ideal platform for all the stakeholders to share their knowledge and experience for the purposeful use of agricultural residues.
