NEW DELHI- The two-day Football Tournament was organised by NTPC Farakka at the Shibu Janjatiya Inter College ground, Borio on 16th & 17th of January 2023.
As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, NTPC Farakka invited 16 teams from Sahibganj and Godda districts and distributed sports kits to all participating teams. In the final match of the tournament, team Sidhu Kanhu Murmu Club Bhognadiscored 5-3 goals against the team Adim Janajati Club, Kasamo Godda and emerged as the winner.
The football tournament witnessed the participation of about 250 youths. It will help to identify and nurture talent among the tribal communities and enhance the promotion of rural sports in Godda and Sahibganj districts.
Shri Nikesh Kumar, DGM (HR), NTPC Farakka & Shri Kulesh Thakur, Principal Shibu Soren Janjatiya Inter College, Borio, Jharkhand were present at the inauguration.
