NTPC Bongaigaon with ACCF launched comprehensive cancer care program in Kokrajhar
The launch of this program follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between NTPC Bongaigaon and ACCF on 27th August 2024, marking a significant step toward enhancing healthcare in Kokrajhar.
NTPC Bongaigaon, in collaboration with the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), launched a comprehensive cancer care program in Kokrajhar district as a part of its CSR initiatives.
With an aim to reach over 42,000 people across various villages, the cancer care initiative focuses on early detection of oral, breast, and cervical cancers through door-to-door screenings by Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), public awareness sessions, and home-based palliative care for cancer patients.

Kabita Deka, ACS, Additional District Commissioner of Kokrajhar, in the presence of Shri Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, Dr. N.K. Singha, Medical Superintendent, ACCF, Shri Haragobinda Boro from the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), and Smt. Sangeeta Singh, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club.
