New Delhi: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has achieved a significant engineering milestone by executing one of the world’s longest HDD projects across the Ganga River for our Paradip Numaligarh Crude Pipeline (PNCPL) project.

This remarkable feat involved drilling a 4027 RM length HDD for a 26-inch diameter pipeline, completed in a record 78 days. This is the longest HDD crossing of the Ganga River for a 26-inch diameter pipeline in India and likely the third largest in the world!

Our PNCPL project, part of the Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project (NREP), involves laying a 1,635 km cross-country pipeline from Paradip Port in Odisha to Numaligarh in Assam, expanding our refinery's capacity from 3.0 MMTPA to 9.0 MMTPA.
