IRCON awards signalling contract to Kiran Infra Engineers for Shivpur-Kathutia rail section

In a significant move to enhance the signaling infrastructure in the Dhanbad division of East Central Railways, IRCON has awarded a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to M/s Kiran Infra Engineers Ltd. for electronic interlocking based signaling system work at various railway stations in connection with Shivpur-Kathutia rail section, aims to improve operational efficiency and safety, representing a major upgrade in the region’s railway signaling capabilities.
The work includes Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Indoor and outdoor work EI systems at Kathautia, Shahpur, Duari, and Kharika stations in connection with Shivpur-Kathutia New BG track with electrification in the Dhanbad division of East Central Railways in the state of Jharkhand, India.

The move by IRCON to award a signaling contract to Kiran Infra Engineers is in line with the vision and mission of Indian Railways to upgrade and modernize the signaling systems across the country to enhance the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the railway operations and ensure seamless journeys for the passengers, as per the tender release.
