According to the Railways, 145 extra special trains are being operated from the 2nd to the 8th of this month to ensure smooth travel during Chhath pooja.
Indian Railways to operate 25 festival special trains from Delhi-NCR
Indian Railways is operating around 25 festival special trains today originating from Delhi-NCR to various parts of the country. These include special trains to Saharsa, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Darbhanga, Indore, and Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the Railways, 145 extra special trains are being operated from the 2nd to the 8th of this month to ensure smooth travel during Chhath pooja. The railway is facilitating the movement of an additional two lakh passengers daily, ensuring seamless travel for millions of devotees during these festive occasions.

The railway is set to carry more than one crore passengers during the festive period. This year there has been a notable increase of two thousand 800 special trains compared to the previous year. Last year, around four thousand 500 special trains operated during this season.
