Visakhapatnam: Finance and Commercial collective of M/s Hindustan Shipyard Limited, a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, organised a full-day workshop on the topic "Operational Issues in Structuring Documentary Credit for Import Transaction" delivered by Shri K. Parameswaran.
The speaker is an experienced banker, faculty, Corporate trainer & advisor and is associated with BAFT(Washington), CII, FIEO and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Paris).
Shri SV Rambabu, Director(Finance & Commercial) gave a warm welcome of the distinguished guest and said that the participants are fortunate to get relevant information and knowledge from the speaker on the topic of Letter of Credits. He congratulated the departments for organising such programme.
The speaker dealt on a variety of areas that include the impact of conditions which modifies the application of UCP Rules, INCOTERMS 2020, prescribing appropriate documents to safeguard the interest of the applicant and issuing bank, Impact of non-documentary conditions, examination of documents and handling discrepant documents, identifying valid discrepancies etc.
The interactive and highly motivated lecture delivered by Shri K. Parameswaran really impressed the participants. Everyone present there highly appreciated the session. At the end, Shri Pavan Kumar thanked the dignitary for sparing his valuable time and sharing bundle of knowledge with the executives.
