HCC and MEIL Secure Rs 3,681 crore Design and Build Contract for BKC Station
Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) have secured a contract for the construction of the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) Station of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail.

NEW DELHI- Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) have secured a contract for the construction of the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) Station of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has awarded the design and build contract to construct the BKC Bullet Train Station, which is a significant milestone for the project.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail is a 508.17 km long project that aims to reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad significantly. The BKC Station is an essential component of this project, as it will serve as a critical hub for the Bullet Train service. The station will have six platforms of 414 m length at a depth of 24 m below the ground level. It will have a total of three floors, with passenger amenities such as waiting areas, a business-class lounge, a nursery, restrooms, smoking rooms, and information kiosks.
The contract also includes building a retrieval shaft on the eastern end for the removal of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), architectural finishing, all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, and testing and commissioning. The total value of the contract is Rs 3,681 crore.
