The government announced on Friday that it has received 44 proposals for 67 coal blocks made available for sale in the 10th round of commercial mine auctions. A total of 44 submissions were made in physical format. In June, the coal ministry offered 67 coal mines for auction as part of the 10th round of commercial mine bidding.

The auction process has attracted considerable participation from small and medium-sized entities, demonstrating the inclusive nature of the bidding process. This inclusivity emphasizes that the reforms in the coal sector have been positively received throughout the industry, regardless of the size of the participants. The online proposals received during the auction, in addition to the offline submissions, will be opened on Monday.
