First Female Coal Mining Engineer at NCL
She has been posted at one of the Mega Projects of NCL Jayant, Singrauli.
Northern Coalfields Limited, an arm of Coal India got its first Female Mining Engineer. Miss Pramila has become the first woman mining engineer to work in opencast mines at NCL.
She has been posted at one of the Mega Projects of NCL Jayant, Singrauli.
A Native of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, she completed her engineering in Mining Discipline from NIT, Raipur. She joined NCL on 26th June 2023. Miss Pramila said that Mining is a challenging field but learning new things inspires her to work in the field every day as she considers Challenges as opportunities.

Sharing her experience in NCL Miss Pramila said that she is completely satisfied with the amenities provided by the Management and the supportive attitude of her seniors and the harmonious workplace environment of the company motivates her to perform best.

Giving her message to all the females who are aspiring to enhance their careers in the Mining industry, she said that Mining is an ever-growing field to pursue their dreams and recent women-friendly regulatory changes introduced by the Government of India in the mining sector is making it an attractive employment opportunity. As more and more women will be in Mining it will lead in failing the Gender Stereotypes in the industry.
