EIL, BPCL Achieve Cryogenic Feat: Double Tanks Take Shape at Uran LPG Terminal

New Delhi: Engineers India Limited, the Indian public sector engineering consultancy and technology licensing company along with Petroleum giant BPCL achieved a major milestone at the DAFC Project of BPCL Uran LPG Terminal in Uran, Navi Mumbai with the back-to-back casting of Deck Slab for the two double-walled cryogenic storage tanks T-1004 & T-1005. 

The critical feat was made possible by expediting the delivery of reinforcement and mobilisation of adequate manpower, across-the-table review of BBS and seamless monitoring of re-bar erection work in compliance with the quality & safety requirements.

BPCL's first Cross Country LPG Pipeline from Mumbai Refinery is one of the prestigious projects which are being monitored by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Prime Minister’s Office was charged with LPG vapours and stands commissioned on 31st October 2014.

It is 28.31 km long (including offshore portion of 12.2 KM), 10 inch diameter and has a design capacity of 0.80 MMTPA.
