DVC sign Power Purchase Agreement with GUVNL

New Delhi: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) to supply 600 MW from its upcoming Raghunathpur Phase II project in West Bengal. This agreement was signed at GUVNL & Corporate Office at Vadodara on 4th July 2024.

From DVC, Shri Arup Sarkar, Member (Finance) and Shri Sanjiv Shrivastav, ED (Commercial) were present and from GUVNL, Shri Jai Prakash Shivhare (IAS) Managing Director, Shri K P Jangid, Director (Finance), and Shri Sanjay Mathur, G.M.(Commerce).

This agreement reaffirms DVC’s commitment to meet the growing power demand of the nation. As per the agreement, DVC will deliver power to GUVNL from its upcoming supercritical thermal project. The deal supports GUVNL’s efforts to secure a stable power supply amid rising future energy needs and DVC standing firmly behind it.
