New Delhi: Hon'ble Union Minister of Coal, Mines, and Parliamentary Affairs Shri. Prahlad Joshi and Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Assam inaugurated the resumption of mining operations at Tikk Colliery, North Eastern Coalfields at Margherita.
Mr. Rameshwar Teli, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Labor & Employment, Government of India, Shri. Pramod Agarwal, Chairman, Coal India Limited, Mr. Veera Reddy, senior officials of D-T, CIL, and the Government of Assam were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the Hon'ble Coal Minister said, It will help Assam to earn additional revenue from coal mining while creating employment opportunities for the local people.
He urged the officers of the company to increase the good work being done in the form of CSR projects for sustainable development in the region and also stressed on promoting eco-tourism in the region.
