New Delhi : Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD,NLCIL along with Functional Directors Shri Kalasani Mohan Reddy, Director (P&P) and Director (Power) AC, Shri Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) and Director (Finance) AC, Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR), Shri L. Chandrasekar, CVO inaugurated Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS) and Real-Time Safety Surveillance Monitoring system at Thermal Power Station II Expansion on 31.03.2023.

ED (Thermal), Occupier / CGM TPS II Expansion, Factory Manager / TPS II Expansion, Senior Officials of NLC India Limited and representatives from recognized Unions and Associations were present in the inaugural function. CMD appreciated the team and stressed upon the importance of Safety & Environment systems implementation in NLCIL's perspective.

NLC India Limited is an important subsidiary of Government of India, which operates activities in the energy sector in India. Its headquarter is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It operates energy plants in various states of northern India and produces various energy-related products.

One of the plants built by NLC India Limited is Neyveli Power Plant, located in Tamil Nadu. The plant has a capacity of 1,000 megawatts and produces electricity. In addition, there is also the Coimbatore Thermal Power Station in this industrial city, which produces electricity with a capacity of 420 megawatts.
