BEL upgrades Chennai hospital OT & Maternity Ward
New Delhi: Equipped with advanced medical and surgical equipment donated by BEL, the newly built Operation Theatre (for Gynaecology & Obstetrics) at Cantonment Hospital, Pallavaram, Chennai, promises to be manna from heaven for poor and needy people from nearby areas.
Mr. Chandrasekaran, AGM (Prod. Ass) & Officiating Head, BEL-Chennai, inaugurated the OT facility at a ceremony organised by Cantt. Board, in the presence of Mr Dinesh Kumar Reddy, CEO, Cantt. Board.

Inaugurated by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Shri Kamaraj in 1954 (incidentally, the year of the Incorporation of BEL), the hospital was started with the noble intent of serving the local population in and around Cantonment Pallavaram.
