BEL Ghaziabad handed over industrial kitchen applicances & Food Distribution Vans to ISKCON Ghaziabad

CMD BEL, Shri Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, handed over state-of-the-art kitchen appliances and four food distribution vans, during a small ceremony organized at International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) wave city Ghaziabad on 28 May 2024.

This CSR initiative is aimed at distributing healthy meal to needy segment of the society. In an hours’ time, meals for approx. thousand people can be prepared, in this kitchen.

The ceremony started with tree plantation in the ISKCON premises by CMD Shri Bhanu Prakash Srivastav, Unit Head Mrs. Rashmi Kathuria, CS CRL Mr. Anoop Rai, SBU heads of BEL Ghaziabad Shri Giriraj N., Shri Naveen Kumar, Shri Dheeraj Talwar, in the presence of ISKCON zone supervisor-west, Shri Sunadar Gopal Prabhuji, ISKCON President Shri Aadikarta Prabhuji & GM Shri Abhiram Prabhuji

Head CSR, Smt Aparna Tiwari welcomed all and shared CSR projects of BEL Ghaziabad and expressed “true value of food donation lies in the smiles it brings and the hope it ignites on the faces of beneficiaries”.

Shri Sundar Gopal Prabhuji expressed gratitude for the BEL CSR initiative. He narrated examples of trees, which stand tall under rain, sun & thunderstorms and keep giving oxygen, shed, flowers & fruits, without claiming any of these for themselves.  

Shri Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, CMD BEL said that BEL professionals have dedicated themselves to the safety & security of the Nation by manufacturing the latest technology defense systems serving society for a wider cause. They are also taking CSR initiatives in the domain of education, sanitation, vocational skills, healthcare & nutrition.

The present project “Food for Life” thru ISKCON is a Noble step towards societal care. ISKCON volunteers promptly respond to difficult societal conditions and bring hope into the lives of people affected. They would make best use of the industrial kitchen appliances and food distribution van for food distribution in society.
