Ajith Kumar K takes over as Head-BPCL, Kochi Refinery

Ajith Kumar K would lead the largest Public Sector Refinery in the country
KOCHI: Mr. Ajith Kumar K has taken over as the head of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited's Refinery in Kerala. As Chief General Manager I/C Kochi Refinery he would lead the largest Public Sector Refinery in the country.
BACKGROUND
A Mechanical Engineer from the Government College of Engineering, Thrissur, and MBA from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Mr. Ajith Kumar K began his career at the erstwhile Cochin Refineries Ltd. in 1989. He has worked in the Inspection, Safety, Projects, and Maintenance departments of the Kochi Refinery. He also had a brief stint in Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd., Bina, Madhya Pradesh, and Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation, Kuwait.
Prior to taking over as CGM(KR) i/c, he was Chief General Manager (Projects) of Kochi Refinery and responsible for the implementation of the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project (IREP) & Motor Spirit Block Project (MSBP), at Kochi Refinery.
He belongs to Mangalath Family and hails from Vaikom in Kottayam, Kerala
