Shri. Ajay Madhukar Mhetre assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer in Western Coalfields Limited On 26.12.2022, at its headquarters in Nagpur. Prior to his posting in WCL, he held the post of Director (Rural) at the Bihar LSA, Patna.

NEW DELHI- Shri. Ajay Madhukar Mhetre assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer in Western Coalfields Limited On 26.12.2022, at its headquarters in Nagpur. Prior to his posting in WCL, he held the post of Director (Rural) at the Bihar LSA, Patna.

After completing his Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Nagpur, Shri. Mhetre qualified UPSC Engineering Services Examination conducted during 1996. He joined Department of Telecom as an Indian Telecom Services Officer in 1998. He has served in various capacity in Department of Telecom, Government of India and BSNL. During his tenure, he has served in Nagpur & Amravati in Maharashtra state and in Patna, Bihar. He has 24 years’ experience in Mobile Communication and in Telecom Regulatory Bodies like Telecom Enforcement Resource & Monitoring.


On assuming charge, Shri. Mhetre met CMD Shri. Manoj Kumar, Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director Technical (Operations) Shri. J. P. Dwivedi and Director Technical (Project & Planning) Shri. A. K. Singh. They welcomed Shri. Mhetre. Technical Secretary to CMD Shri Tarun Kumar Shrivastav and General Manager (Vigilance) Shri. Anup Hanjura were also present on the occasion.
