NCL's first ground-mounted solar project, joins hands with NTPC to install a 50 MW solar project
The two PSUs has joined hands to install a 50 MW solar power project in Madhya Pradesh.

New Delhi: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited recently partnered with an Indian statutory corporation, National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC). The two PSUs has joined hands to install a 50 MW solar power project in Madhya Pradesh.
According to the CIL's statement, this is the first ground-mounted solar project of NCL for which project consultant NTPC has invited bids with a pre-bid date set on October 7 and tender opening date on October 22.
The (CNUPL) CIL-NTPC Urja Pvt Ltd, the joint venture incorporated on 27 April 2010 with Coal India limited will also co-ordinate for this entire project. It is mentioned that NTPC will help NCL to get a successful bidder as a project consultant. After which NCL will execute the solar power project with the successful bidder.
