NHPC Q3 Results Net profit falls 52.5 to Rs 231 crore, declares interim dividend of Rs 1.40 share
HydroPower Stock, NHPC Ltd reported a 52.5% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at Rs 231 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, NHPC posted a net profit of Rs 486.7 crore, according to a regulatory filing.
The company's revenue from operations increased 11.3% to Rs 2,286.8 crore as against Rs 2,055.5 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal. At the operating level, EBITDA jumped 35.8% to Rs 1,021.5 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over Rs 752.1 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
EBITDA margin stood at 44.7% in the reporting quarter as compared to 36.6% in the corresponding period during the last fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization.

The Board has declared an interim dividend of 14% (Rs 1.40 per equity share) on the face value of Rs 10 per share for the financial year 2024-25. The board has set February 13, 2025, as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the dividend.
The payment or dispatch of the interim dividend will be completed within the timeframe stipulated under the Companies Act, 2013.
Shares of the company are trading lower by 0.18% at Rs 77.47.
