NHAI surpasses FY 2024-25 Target amid constructing 5,600km of National Highways

In a major boost towards enhancement of development and construction, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has historically constructed over 5,600 kilometres of National Highways against the target of 5 thousand 150 kilometres during the financial Year 2024-25.

In a statement issued, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that the capital expenditure for the development of National Highway infrastructure reached an all-time high of over 2 lakh 50 thousand Crore rupees provisionally, against a target expenditure of 2 lakh 40 thousand Crore rupees.

As compared to the last financial year, 2023-2024, the total capital expenditure rose by about 21 percent, with respect to financial year 2022-23, it rose by almost 45 percent.
