NTPC NRHQ Celebrates International Women's Day with great enthusiasm

Lucknow: NTPC Northern Region Headquarters celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm under the theme “Accelerate Action.” The theme highlights the urgency of advancing gender equality by empowering women and promoting education.

On this special occasion, Shri NS Rao, Regional Executive Director, Northern Region, warmly welcomed and extended his best wishes to the women employees of NRHQ. He emphasized that women empowerment starts at home and gradually extends to society. Shri Rao acknowledged the significant contributions of women in various fields, including NTPC, where many areas are now led by women, showcasing the organization's commitment to gender equality.

Shri Amreek Singh Bhogal, General Manager (OS), also conveyed his good wishes to the female employees present at the event. Additionally, Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, Regional Head of HR, shared his dream of having a Region/ Station or Department entirely run by women, which would serve as a remarkable example of women empowerment.

The event concluded with an interactive session by the Regional Executive Director (NR) with the female employees. During the discussion, many employees shared their experiences, expressing that NTPC provides a women-friendly work environment, offering them the freedom to approach senior management without any barriers.
