Korba: Defying repeated strikes and other forms of performance, SECL Gevra Management set new heights in terms of production and dispatch. SECL, which is one of the Miniratna companies of Coal India, operated in Korba district and Asia's largest open mine Gevra project has achieved a historic achievement. Gevra project has broken its own record of highest coal dispatch of 44.3 million in the year 2018-19 by dispatching 44.5 million tonnes of coal before the end of this financial year 2021-22.

This new record has been made on 28 March 2022. This is the highest ever coal dispatch figure from Gevra mine through Rail and Road Cell. Although the dispatch target has been given 54.10 million tonnes which is on time for completion but a major achievement has already been achieved by the Gevra project. Human labor has given this achievement to Gevra mine by working under the guidance of officers, from mine employees to labor unions. This achievement has been achieved by the management when it faced various crises.

Defeated the disaster like this

The production, as well as the dispatch work in the mine, were also greatly affected due to weather-related problems as well as the Kovid-19 infection. Apart from this, the availability of rakes was not made relatively by the railways, the dispatch which was to be taken by the NTPC management also showed a shortfall, but we have set a record after battling with many problems. The concerned are to be congratulated for this achievement.
