NLCIL CMD Praises Neyveli Students' Golden Victory in State Javelin Competition

New Delhi: A student of NLC Boys Higher Secondary School, Neyveli, managed by NLC India Limited’s Education Department, won the gold medal in a State level Javelin competition. 

Pradeep, studying in NLC Boys Higher Secondary School, Neyveli, won the gold medal in Javelin throw competition in the Under-17 category of the State level Republic Day Athletic Meet and got selected for the Nationals in the process.

Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL, met the gold medallist, Pradeep, today and appreciated him on his achievement. He also wished Pradeep more successes and laurels in the future. General Manager, Sports, Education and Culture, Shri Nagarajan, also accompanied the student.

NLCIL, in an attempt to encourage students to take up sports, has established a Sports Hostel, where students can stay and take coaching in sporting events even as they pursue their school education. 

NLCIL’s focus on sports and providing all help for prospective sportspersons has resulted in producing world class sportspersons like the Olympian swimmer Sajan Prakash.
