NHPC signs MoU with Central Water Commission to review design consultancy
The MoU was signed by Shri S. K. Sharma, Director, CWC, and Shri Shrish Dubey, GM (D&E), NHPC, in the presence of Shri Bhopal Singh, Member (D&R), Shri S.D. Sharma, Chief Engineer (Design—E&NE), CWC, and Shri V. K. Saini, ED (D&E), NHPC.
NHPC signs MoU with Central Water Commission to review design consultancy
In a significant move to ensure timely restoration of the NHPC Teesta-V Power Station in Sikkim, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Review Design Consultancy has been signed between the Central Water Commission (CWC) and NHPC Limited on 20.12.2024.
The MoU was signed by Shri S. K. Sharma, Director, CWC, and Shri Shrish Dubey, GM (D&E), NHPC, in the presence of Shri Bhopal Singh, Member (D&R), Shri S.D. Sharma, Chief Engineer (Design—E&NE), CWC, and Shri V. K. Saini, ED (D&E), NHPC.
The MoU focuses on review and consultancy work for the hydraulic design of the Tunnel Spillway and Dam to facilitate the passage of enhanced discharge from the Teesta-V Dam. This collaboration is expected to play a pivotal role in improving coordination and progress and developing a better understanding of design practices.
