MPMRCL signs contract with Bharat Electronics for Bhopal and Indore Metro projects
The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) signed an agreement with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to supply indigenously manufactured Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) for the Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail Projects.
This initiative aligns with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and enhances passenger safety and operational efficiency on metro platforms. PSDs are crucial for modern metro systems as they isolate platforms from tracks, ensuring enhanced safety.
These doors open only when trains align perfectly with the platform, preventing accidents, trespassing, and objects falling onto tracks. PSDs synchronize with train doors for seamless operation across the platform, ensuring passenger convenience and safety.
