Shri Nand Lal Sharma CMD SJVN Visited Dam Site of 900 MW Arun-3 Hydro Electric Project

Shimla: Chairman & MD, SJVN and Chairman, SAPDC Sh. Nand Lal Sharma visited Dam Site of 900 MW Arun-3 Hydro Electric Project being executed by SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company (SAPDC). During the visit he took the Final Blast for breakthrough of the Diversion Tunnel. Sh. Nand Lal Sharma appreciated the hard work and efforts put in by employees and workers. On this occasion CEO SAPDC, Sh. Arun Dhiman along with other senior officers of SJVN and SAPDC were also present. SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company (SAPDC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited.

On this occasion, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma said that the company will be investing approximately INR 6959 crore in Nepal over the next five years. Total financial benefits up to handing over of project to Government of Nepal are estimated to be around INR 21,166 crore.
He further said that the project is helping in Socio-Economic growth of the area by generating employment opportunities for the locals, boosting local industries, and fostering entrepreneurship, development of infrastructure such as roads and bridges and providing financial support for healthcare facilities and community centers etc.
