GACL bags 17th ICAI National Award-2019
Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) has won the 17th National Award of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for Excellence in the Cost Management-2019
New Delhi: Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) has won the 17th National Award of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for Excellence in the Cost Management-2019.
Significantly, winning this prestigious recognition is a rare distinction achieved by the GACL as it won this national award three years in a row 2017, 2018, and 2019- under the category: Manufacturing, Public, and Medium.
Conferred by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI-CMA), this honour is awarded in recognition of excellence in the cost management practices adopted by the GACL.
GACL is one of the largest producers of Caustic Soda in India, with a production capacity of 1087 TPD. The company is engaged in the business of industrial chemical products.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), established by an Act of the Indian Parliament, continues its operation as the Single Largest Statutory Accounting body of the world. ICAI stands on Four Pillars - Regulator, Standard Setter, Educator and Partner in Nation Building and has been functioning under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) of the Government of India, as an extended arm.
