NTPC Kaniha Dedicates Community Hall at Village Gandaberana under CSR Initiative

NTPC Kaniha continues its commitment to the socio-economic development of project-affected and nearby villages through its extensive Corporate Social Responsibility  initiatives. In a significant step towards building community infrastructure, NTPC Kaniha constructed and handed over a newly built community centre at Gandaberana village, Kamarei GP, Block Kaniha, Angul , Odisha.

The inauguration ceremony was held on 06th March 2025 and graced by Shri Braja Kishore Pradhan, Hon’ble  MLA Talcher, along with Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, Executive Director, NTPC Kaniha. The ceremony was also attended by other dignitaries including Shri Navneet Kumar, Head of HR, NTPC Kaniha, Shri M Panigrahi AGM EMD, Shri Suresh Chandra Behera, Additional General Manager (AHD), Member of Zilla Parishad Angul, Kaniha Block Chairman, Sarpanch of Kamarei Gram Panchayat and other officials of NTPC, villagers. The event witnessed active participation from the villagers, who expressed their gratitude and excitement for this new facility. 

During his address, the Chief Guest, Shri Braja Kishore Pradhan, MLA Talcher, praised NTPC Kaniha for its consistent and impactful efforts in promoting the socio-economic development of the region. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering community well-being and enhancing the quality of life of sorrounding villages. He highlighted the multifaceted utility of the newly constructed community hall, noting that it will serve as a venue for various cultural activities, meetings, weddings, and other social events.
