NTPC Bongaigaon Hands Over Advanced Medical Vehicles Under CSR Initiative

In a significant move to enhance healthcare services in Mon, Nagaland, NTPC Limited handed over two advanced life support ambulance vans and two mortuary vans to the District Administration of Mon. The vehicles were handed over by Shri Arnab Maitra in the presence of Smt. Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, NTPC Bongaigaon and Shri Onkar Nath, AGM (HR), NTPC Bongaigaon. The event was graced by the presence of Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mon representing the District Administration.
The initiative, part of NTPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aims to address the healthcare challenges faced by the remote district of Mon. The advanced life support ambulances are equipped with modern medical facilities, ensuring that critical care reaches patients in emergency situations without delay. These ambulances are designed to provide life-saving support, featuring equipment such as ventilators, defibrillators, and monitoring systems to handle emergencies efficiently during transit.
Additionally, the mortuary vans provided are intended to ensure dignified and respectful transportation for the deceased, addressing a crucial need in the district. These vans are equipped with proper refrigeration facilities to preserve the bodies, thereby easing the burden on families and ensuring that traditional customs can be observed with dignity.

During the event, Shri Arnab Maitra emphasized NTPC’s commitment to community welfare through its CSR initiatives.Shri Maitra noted that the contribution was part of NTPC’s broader vision to enhance healthcare infrastructure in remote areas and provide timely and dignified services to the residents of Mon.
Shri Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, appreciated NTPC's timely support, highlighting the importance of such contributions in bridging the healthcare access gap for remote communities. Shri Verma expressed gratitude on behalf of the district administration for NTPC’s consistent efforts towards uplifting the region’s healthcare standards.
