NCL inaugurated “Nanha-sa-Dil-NCL” Initiative to save children lives
The Coal India arm, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), has inaugurated the “Nanha-sa-Dil-NCL” initiative on Saturday, aimed at providing free life-saving surgeries to children suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD) in the singrauli region. During the inauguration programe Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Honorable Member of Parliament from Sidhi-Singrauli was present as the chief guest, along with CMD NCL, Shri B. Sairam, Director (Finance), Shri Rajneesh Narayan, Director (Technical/Operations), Shri Jitendra Malik, and other senior officials from NCL were present. Additionally, Shri Vivek Gaur Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust, was also present to mark the occasion.
Free life saving surgeries will be provided to children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease
New Delhi: The Coal India arm, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), has inaugurated the “Nanha-sa-Dil-NCL” initiative on Saturday, aimed at providing free life-saving surgeries to children suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD) in the singrauli region.

Additionally, Shri Vivek Gaur Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust, was also present to mark the occasion.
NCL has collaborated with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, a renowned institution specializing in pediatric cardiac care to implement this CSR Initiative. Under this collaboration, NCL has signed an MoU with Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust to organize 345 screening camps across the Singrauli region, targeting over 17,000 children for congenital heart disease screening. Following initial screening, children identified with heart disease will undergo detailed diagnostic procedures, and those requiring surgery will be referred to Sri Sathya Sai hospitals for free treatment.
“Only Dil, No Bill” – Giving Hope to Families
Every year in India, approximately 3 lakhs children are born with congenital heart disease, but only 5% of them receive timely treatment due to high costs. NCL, driven by the spirit of “Only Dil, No Bill,” aims to bridge this gap by providing free treatment and offering a new hope to these children.
A Step Towards Saving Lives
During the program, in his address Dr. Rajesh Mishra lauded NCL’s commitment, stating, “NCL’s collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust for child heart care and prevention is a commendable effort. This initiative will not only give new life to children but also infuse hope in families burdened by expensive medical care. He also stated that NCL is now energizing young hearts along with fulfilling the energy needs of the nation.
On this occasion, CMD NCL, Shri B. Sairam, emphasized NCL’s dedication to the holistic development of the region.“Nanha-sa-Dil-NCL" embodies compassion and care at its core. Through this initiative, we are not only addressing a critical health issue but also contributing to the overall well-being of the peripheral community,” he said.
The event concluded with the formal launch of the project by flagging off a dedicated van for the “Nanha-sa-Dil-NCL” CSR initiative, which will facilitate outreach and awareness across the region.
NCL’s initiative, aimed at fostering hope and saving lives, marks a milestone in corporate social responsibility by ensuring that children from underserved communities receive the medical attention they deserve, free of cost.
