CSR Initiative: MIDHANI to Fight against Tuberculosis with Early Detection Tools and Nutritional Support

CSR Initiative: MIDHANI to Fight against Tuberculosis with Early Detection Tools and Nutritional Support
MIDHANI a Govt of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence is not only catering to the nation’s strategic needs but also serving society through its Corporate Social Responsibility projects. Major CSR funds of MIDHANI are allocated to projects in the Health, Nutrition, Education & Skill Development sectors.
In response to a request from Telangana TB officials, MIDHANI has sponsored a TRUENAT machine to aid in the early detection of TB. The machine, worth Rs. 16.55 lakhs is sponsored by MIDHANI which will help accelerate diagnosis and enable timely intervention.
Additionally, MIDHANI has donated Nutritional Kits to 1500 tuberculosis (TB) patients in Hyderabad, providing them with essential support for six months at an expenditure of Rs. 66.91 lakhs.

The TRUENAT machine was inaugurated by Shri N Gowri Sankara Rao, Chairman & Managing Director (Addl. Charge) of MIDHANI, and handed over to the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Narayanguda, Hyderabad.
The event was attended by distinguished members of the MIDHANI team, including Shri A Ramakrishna Rao, General Manager (HR), Smt. K Mabhubala, General Manager (F&A), Shri Harikrishna V, Addl. General Manager(HR) and Smt. A.R. Rashmi, Senior Manager (HR).
TB officials were also present, including Dr. A Rajesham, Joint Director (TB), and Dr. Chaladevi, State TB Control Officer, and commended MIDHANI’s contribution in helping towards a TB-free India.
