Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) handed over aids and assistive devices manufactured by ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India) to Persons with Disabilities at a camp organized in Tumkur on Feb 5, 2025.
Altogether, 295 aids and assistive devices worth Rs. 49.15 Lakhs were handed over to a total of 166 Persons with Disabilities.
Mr Chetan Jaysingh Patil-Auti, GM (HR)/BG officiated this event in the presence of Mrs Shilpa Doddamani, District Disabled Welfare Officer, Tumkur. Also present were senior officials from BEL, ALIMCO & District administration.

The aids donated included tricycles, motorized tricycles, wheelchairs, CP chairs, crutches, walking sticks, rollators, smart canes, mobile phones, Braille kits for the visually impaired, Braille canes, ADL kits, hearing aids, MSIED kits for the intellectually impaired and artificial limbs and calipers.
Through such meaningful collaboration, BEL continues to play a vital role in building an inclusive society, reaffirming its dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities and contributing to their journey toward self-reliance and dignity.
