Patel Engineering and JV Partner secures Rs 1,090 crore Irrigation Project in Maharashtra
Patel Engineering Ltd and its joint venture partner have secured a Rs 1,090-crore irrigation project in Maharashtra. The partners were announced as the lowest bidders for the construction of a pipeline distribution network for the Nira Deoghar Right Bank Main Canal, as stated in the company’s exchange filing on Tuesday.
The project is set to be completed within 36 months. Patel Engineering's share of the project is 20%, amounting to Rs 218.09 crore. The scope of work includes constructing a pipe distribution network, which involves excavation and refilling of pipe trenches.
It also encompasses the provision of various structures, as well as the supply, joining, lowering, and laying of pipes, valves, chambers, and outlets. Additionally, the project requires the testing of pipelines along with all associated valves and outlets. Following the completion of the work, the contract includes an operations, repairs, and maintenance period of five years.
Based in Mumbai, Patel Engineering is well-established in the fields of tunneling and underground work related to hydroelectric and dam projects.
