Shruti Singhal appointed as Director of National Recruitment Agency
Shruti Singhal (IRAS) re-designated as Director at the National Recruitment Agency (NRA), effective upon assuming charge, after serving as Deputy Secretary under the Central Staffing Scheme.
New Delhi: Shruti Singhal (IRAS), currently holding the position has been re-designated to the office of Deputy Secretary at the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) and has been approved by the Competent Authority to that of Director.
Approved as a personal measure for her, this re-designation is effective from the date of assumption of charge of the re-designated post. Completing a five-year tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme, Singhal will serve in this position for a duration ranging up to May 23, 2020.

From the 2011 class, Singhal, an officer of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), has occupied important roles in government administration, therefore helping to shape policies and governance systems.
The choice fits the government's goal to improve institutional leadership in important recruiting agencies. Tasked with simplifying recruitment tests for several non-gazetted posts in the central government and public sector banks, the National Recruitment Agency is expected to gain from her administrative expertise and leadership.
