Bank of Baroda Boosts Cyber Fraud Awareness to Strengthen Customer Protection
NEW DELHI/MUMBAI: Bank of Baroda has intensified its customer protection initiatives by expanding its cyber fraud awareness and public advisory programmes, responding to the growing risks associated with digital banking and online transactions.
As cyber threats become more sophisticated across the financial ecosystem, the public sector bank is reinforcing its commitment to customer safety through continuous education and proactive communication.
A central element of the Bank’s outreach is its popular ‘PehchaanCon’ cyber safety campaign, which features engaging and easy-to-understand videos that highlight the importance of vigilance and early fraud detection. The campaign demonstrates real-life fraud scenarios, helping customers recognise evolving scam techniques and protect their confidential financial information.
Complementing this effort is Bank of Baroda’s ‘Stay Wise, Act Wise’ digital awareness initiative, which regularly shares safety tips and advisories designed to empower customers to make informed decisions and adopt preventive measures against cyber fraud.
The Bank has also strengthened its public warnings against fake advertisements and misleading online content that misuse the Bank’s name, logo, and even images of senior officials to deceive customers with fraudulent offers. Bank of Baroda reiterated that it never seeks sensitive personal information such as OTPs, card details, or login credentials, and urged customers to rely only on official communication channels.
Through consistent advisories, transparent guidance, and customer education campaigns, Bank of Baroda continues to build a safer digital banking environment and promote secure financial transactions nationwide.
