Additionally, the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) of Reasi, which is implementing official language initiatives under the chairmanship of NHPC Salal Power Station, was honored with the second prize.

The Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, organized the Combined Regional Official Language Conference for the Central, Western, and Northern regions in Jaipur on February 17, 2025. During this conference, NHPC’s Salal Power Station, located in Jammu and Kashmir, was awarded the first prize for its exceptional efforts in implementing the official language.

Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC, and Uttam Lal, Director of Personnel at NHPC, received the award shield and certificate from Bhajan Lal, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and Nityanand Rai, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India.

The award was received by Anish Gouraha, Group General Manager, Head of NHPC Salal Power Station. Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu (J&K), Santosh Kumar, Executive Director, Regional Office, Banikhet (Himachal Pradesh) alongwith senior NHPC officers also took part in the conference.
