New Delhi: NALCO’s S&P Complex Angul has been awarded the 'Best Energy Efficient CPP of the Year' at the CEE-4th National Power-Gen Efficiency Award 2025. This recognition highlights Nalco's unwavering commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability.
The Navratna company has been operating its captive Panchpatmali Bauxite Mines for the pit head Alumina refinery at Damanjodi, in the District of Koraput in Odisha, and the Aluminium Smelter and captive Power Plant at Angul.
Earlier, the company, as part of a green initiative, installed 198 MW Wind Power Plants at various locations in India and 850 kWp rooftop Solar Power Plants at its premises to join hands for carbon neutrality. The Company continues to retain its position as the lowest-cost producer of Bauxite and Alumina in the World.
