Engineers India bestowed with Silver award by SKOCH Foundation
New Delhi: Engineers India Ltd (EIL), a Navratna PSU, one of the leading design and engineering organization in South Asia has been conferred with the SKOCH Silver Award by the Skoch Foundation for development of “Conversion of Furfural to Furfuryl Alcohol” Technology.
The furfural conversion technology converts furfural (by-product in bio-refinery, a low value stream) to valuable furfuryl alcohol which enhances the viability of bio-ethanol plants’ implementation in India under sustainable green initiatives.
It also opens up business opportunity for EIL in India and abroad for its commercialization. EIL’s technological excellence is driven by over 2900 engineers in a competent employee base of over 3300 employees. The availability of technical resources per annum is about 5.6 million man-hours in EIL’s design offices along with 9600 Man-months of Construction Management services.
