When will the doors of Kedarnath open?
The doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham will be opened on 2nd May at 7 am in the month of Vaishakh in the auspicious combination of Gemini and Taurus ascendant. One more important fact is that Bhairavnath ji will be worshipped before the door opens on 27th April. Baba’s Panchmukhi Doli will leave for Kedarnath Dham from Ukhimath on 28th April.

The Shri Kedarnath Dham opening date was determined via Panchang calculations with Rawal Bhimashankar Ling and officials at Ukhimath. After worship ceremonies at Lord Omkareshwar temple including offerings and Aarti, the opening date was announced.
In the sacred presence of Rawal Bhimashankar Ling and officials gathered at Ukhimath, the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham found their auspicious opening date through ancient Panchang calculations. The ceremony began with devotional worship at Lord Omkareshwar temple—first the offering of Bal Bhog and Mahabhog to Baba Kedar, then the melodious sounds of Aarti—until finally, the awaited announcement of the opening echoed through the halls.
In what manner shall the Panchmukhi Doli journey forth—winding through pathways, carried by hands, or guided by tradition?
Baba Kedarnath's Panchmukhi Doli procession begins with Bhairavnath worship on April 27th. Departing Ukhimath on the 28th, it stops at Gupt Kashi's Vishwanath Temple, then Phata on the 29th, and Gaura Devi Temple/Gaurikund on the 30th. The Doli reaches Kedarnath Dham on May 1st, with temple doors opening to pilgrims at 7 am on May 2nd.
