CIL organised a workshop on modern exploration technologies
NEW DELHI:CIL organised a workshop on “Modern Exploration Technologies for Coal / Lignite Sector to expedite current pace of Exploration“ in association with Central Mine Planning & Design Institute under the aegis of the Ministry of Coal, in New Delhi.
Shri. Anil Kumar Jain, IAS, Secretary, Govt.of India, Ministry of Coal inaugurated the workshop. In his address, he said that the need of the hour is to shift from present exploration methods and adopt new technologies to identify areas with proved reserves of coal and lignite.
Shri. Shekhar Saran, CMD, CMPDI also spoke on the occasion. He emphasized on how 2D and 3D seismic surveys besides other modern technologies available for exploration, can be used for faster exploration of Coal and Lignite and cover more area in a short time.
