BEL celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas
New Delhi: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) organised a variety of events at its Units/SBUs and offices to commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), observed on October 31st, not only commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of independent India’s integration, but also reinforces our commitment to strengthen the security, unity and integrity of the nation.
The day started with flag-hosting and Unity Pledge taking ceremony. During the day, a host of events such as ‘Run for Unity’, involving residents of BEL Townships and students of BEL Educational Institutions, Quiz, Essay, Slogan Writing and Painting competitions, display of banners and posters spreading the message of national unity, and march-past by security personnel / NCC cadets were organised. Senior officers led by the Management of BEL participated in these events with great enthusiasm.
As part of National Unity Day celebrations, the following events are planned across the Units, SBUs and offices of BEL.
• Pledge taking ceremony
• ‘Run for Unity’ involving residents of the BEL Townships and students of BEL Educational Institutions.
• Quiz competitions
• Essay / Slogan Writing competitions on Unity
• Display of banners spreading the message of National Unity
• March-past by security personnel / NCC
• Painting competitions in BEL Educational Institutions
